Tracer off to Popkomm

Tracer is proud and excited to announce that they have been handpicked to perform at this year's prestigious Popkomm festival in Berlin, Germany in September. Popkomm is one of the biggest music industry events in the world and will allow Tracer the opportunity to showcase their own unique Australian style of dirty, sexy rock to the cream of the European and worldwide music community.
Popkomm festival is the live music segment of Popkomm and will take place at the Airport Berlin Tempelhof, from 8 – 10 September 2010. The festival will organize a limited number of showcases and events at 6 venues throughout the Airport Berlin Tempelhof, showcasing the best in musical talent from Europe and across the world.
Tracer's bassist Leigh Brown is thrilled about being picked to showcase at Berlin's Popkomm festival this year.
"The fact that a band, which is relatively unknown outside of Adelaide has been picked to play at Popkomm is crazy, and the fact that the band was Tracer is unbelievable. I am over the moon and so excited to be playing at the festival." Said Mr Brown
September 3 at Jive, will be the last chance Adelaide audiences will have to farewell Tracer, before they embark for international waters, where they will spread their infectious grooves and pounding bass lines to the European masses, on their second European tour, including their performance at the prominent Popkomm festival.
The night will also see Tracer premiering a new single to the crowd at Jive, which they are currently recording for their Popkomm showcase. The new single brings out a more reflective, refined and unyielding sound to Tracer's quickly growing repertoire, without losing their much loved sound.
Tracer's imminent performance at Popkomm, ensures that September 3 at Jive will be a night that will not be quickly forgotten, as Tracer farewell's their Adelaide fans and launch their new single. The night will also include a number of Tracer prize packs to be won, including copies of their latest album, L.A?

Neon Electric is a two-piece electro-pop band from Adelaide, SA consisting of Tony Irish (drums) and Mario Spate (vocals/synthesiser). It's music for dancing, late nights, street parties, holding hands, telling secrets, first kisses and road trips. Smooth electro pop influenced by the sounds of 70's disco and 80's New Wave.
Tony and Mario met through Adelaide's live music scene and have worked on several projects together throughout the years, their tastes may vary but they both share a love of simple songs and catchy hooks. NEW ARTISTS ON JLP

JL Music Publishing are excited to announce two new artist signings, with rock band Tracer and Indie Pop darlings, The Touch coming on board.
Tracer is one of the most talented young bands to come out of Australia in recent years, having formed out of the ashes of blues prodigy band The Brown Brothers in 2004. With the Brown Brothers, the boys had the distinction of being the youngest artist to play the Byron Bay Blues & Roots Festival (at 11 & 13 respectively!) and went on to play the prestigious event a further 2 times. The formation of Tracer has seen a blending of these blues rock influences with a passion for songwriting, leading to the release of the outstanding EP ‘Into The Night’ followed by festival performances and Australian touring. With a sound reminiscent of 90’s grunge/stoner rock mixed with the everlasting bravado of 70’s classic rock, Tracer is a driving, sonic sledgehammer of massive guitars, clever hooks and raw uncompromising vocals. Tracer released their latest EP ‘L.A.?’ in early 2009 and will be embarking on a European tour from September which includes performances at the prestigious Popkomm Festival.
With Triple J hailing them as one of the groups “Leading the Pack” and Drum Media calling them “So hot right now”, The Touch have taken over. "Shit... didn't you know!? " Indie Rock darlings, The Touch have one of those sounds you cant get out of your head – electrifying, frenetic – these boys ARE right now. Performances with the likes of Ladyhawke, Van She, The Galvatrons, Dukes of Windsor, Grafton Primary and at Parklife have showcased this bands incredible talent, hidden behind or perhaps within the party that it their live show. With one EP under their belts and a new Album being recorded from mid 2009, The Touch are THE band to watch in 2009.
